The Colours Of Injustice

He was accused of the Lockerbie bombing
Which killed 270 people on board and on land
He was then tried, found guilty and jailed for life
But granted an early release on compassionate ground
Just after 8 years because they claimed he was dying of cancer

She was accused of being an illegal immigrant
And was caught while dying of cancer in a welsh hospital
However available evidence showed she has been of good behaviour
Working hard and paying her tax with no criminal record
But she was deported to Ghana only to die few days later

The darkness of man’s heart and it happened in the United Kingdom
The citadel of modern democracy and the Anglican Communion
He was released because of the secret oil deal with Libya
She was not because Ghana had no offer on the table
Megrahi and Ama: a stain on the conscience of this nation.

  1. I just hope Nigerians @ home and in diaspora and the world @ large should rise up to this injustice and unbraven practice of NEO-COLONIALISM in disguise. Let out world leaders learn to start telling themselves the truth, @ least, the world will be a better place.

  2. I strongly agree with you Justin. As you make your bed so must you lie on it. Our leaders messed up our countries and now people are treating us like rags. I thought Ghana, ECOWAS and Africa should have protested over this type of injustice, inhumanity and wickedness, but they never said anything. Just imagine if Ama is British and treated that way in Ghana...there would be sanctions, fires and brimstones against Ghana, not only by UK but by the whole Europe and America. They would begin to teach us about human rights and I wonder where that went when Ama was treated like a rag.
